Adam Smith Library

Description

The Adam Smith Library was the Social Sciences departmental library from 1968 until 2016. The Library was created when the new Adam Smith Building opened in 1968. The library was a resource primarily for undergraduate students in the departments of Economic History, Management Studies, Political Economy, Politics, Psychology, Social and Economic Research, Social Administration and Social Work and Sociology. It was administered by the Social Sciences Faculty Library Committee (later renamed the College of Social Sciences Library Committee), representing the staff and students of the founding departments.

The Adam Smith Library closed in December 2016 when the space was re-furbished as a Postgraduate space for students in the School of Social and Political Sciences.
