Roll of Honour
Henry Stuart was born in Glasgow on 31st October 1893, son of John Stuart and Mary Brown Stuart. He studied at the University of Glasgow from 1910-1914, graduating MA in 1913 and continuing on to study Medicine.
Stuart was an accomplished scholar, taking prizes in Botany, Practical Zoology, Anatomy, and Practical Anatomy.
He was a member of the University Officerâ€™s Training Corps and enlisted as a Private with the Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC) soon after the start of war.
Stuart died on 30th May 1915, aged 21, in Dunfermline, Fife, while serving with the 2nd Lowland Field Ambulance. He is buried in Cathcart Cemetery, Renfrewshire.
