Robert Blair, VC
University alumnus and Snell Exhibitioner Lieutenant Robert Blair (1834-1859), a Lieutenant in the 9th Lancers, was wounded in action at Bolandshar during the Indian Mutiny. He was subsequently awarded the Victoria Cross for his gallantry in the engagement.
