Obstetrics and Gynaecology (Regius Chair)


Founded in 1815 by King George III. The chair was originally founded as the Chair of Midwifery, the name being changed by amendment in 1992. From 1790 to 1815, the subject was taught by a lecturer on the Waltonian Foundation.
