Maurice Bloch Lectureship

The Maurice Bloch Lectureship was founded in 1956 and endowed from a trust set up by the whisky broker Sir Maurice Bloch (d1964). The endowment originally provided for a lecture on the general subject of Medicine in Relation to the Community, and lectures were given annually from 1957 until 1986. The funds were subsequently used for PhD studentships.
