Biography of Graham Berry

Graham Berry was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Letters (DLitt) from the University of Glasgow on 22nd June 2016.

Graham Berry qualified as a Chartered Accountant and worked for some time in London with Price Waterhouse. He then became Divisional Chief Accountant with Trusthouse Forte before returning to Scotland. Back in Scotland he worked on the Scottish Council for Educational Technology, working with the Scottish film Council and Glasgow Film Theatre. In 1986 he went to work for the University of Stirling as Finance Director. In 1989 he joined the Scottish Arts Council, first as Director of Finance, then becoming Deputy Director in 1996 before being appointed Director in 2002 having been Acting Director for a year.
