Biography of Dorothy Galbraith

Dorothy Margaret Galbraith was the first woman to study Engineering at the University of Glasgow. She was born in Glasgow on 4th May 1901, the daughter of Henry S Galbraith, a secretary, and lived in Shawlands, Glasgow.

Dorothy took classes in Engineering Drawing in 1919/20, Engineering in 1920/21, and Chemical Engineering (at the Royal Technical College) in 1921/2. She graduated with a BSc in Applied Chemistry on 11th November 1922.
