Biography of Nanette Mutrie

Nanette Mutrie was appointed Professor of Physical Activity and Health Science at the University in 2000. She is currently Professor of Exercise and Sport Psychology at the University of Strathclyde and a Visiting Professor at the MRC Social and Public Health Sciences Unit at the University of Glasgow.

Nanette Mutrie trained as a physical education teacher and worked in schools. She went to Pennsylvania State University with a Fulbright scholarship to study for a PhD (awarded 1986) and then came to work at the University.
