Biography of Moira Brown

Moira Brown graduated BSc from Queen's University, Belfast in 1968. She then undertook a PhD at the University of Glasgow and was Senior Scientist in the MRC Virology Unit of the University from 1972 to 1995. She became Professor of Neurovirology in 1996.

Professor Brown is currently Director and Chief Scientist of Crusade Laboratories Ltd, Glasgow. She founded Crusade Laboratories Ltd in 2000 and left the University in 2003 to become employed full-time by the company. In 2007, she was awarded an OBE for services to healthcare.
