Finlay M'Farlane
Biography of Finlay M'Farlane
Finlay McFarlane matriculated at the University of Glasgow in 1785 to study Arts. He was the eldest son of schoolteacher, James McFarlane, of Stirling.
McFarlane had a distinguished career, firstly as a Member of the House of Assembly, and then as Comptroller of His Majesty's Customs of the Island of Tobago.
McFarlane died at Russel Mains, Cupar, Fife, Scotland, on 23 March 1825.
