I was a mature student at Glasgow and completed M.A. Hons Psychology in 1980. Then M.App.Sci. at Glasgow 1980-82. I remember Derek Corcoran well - an excellent lecturer, interesting research interests, dry sense of humour, not too enthusiastic about sociologists. I understand The Cambridge Research Unit took him on after Glasgow - a great loss to Glasgow had they but known it.
