Biography of Ismail Abdurahman

Ismail Abdurahman was born at Cape Town, on 16 October 1888. He was the younger brother of Abdullah Abdurahman.

He enrolled at the University in 1909 in Medicine and graduated MB ChB in 1915.

Upon his return to South Africa, he joined his brother in practice at Cape Town, and like his brother he became involved in South African politics, becoming President of the Federated Progress Association of South Africa.
