Biography of Ronald MacLennan Jamieson
Ronald MacLennan Jamieson was born in São Paulo, Brazil, son of Duncan, a buyer. Jamieson, who was educated a Paisley Grammar School, came to the University as a Research Student in 1960 on a grant from the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research. He graduated PhD in 1964 with the thesis Internal friction characteristics and aging of iron vanadium nitrogen alloys.
After graduating, Jamieson worked as a metallurgist in Ontario, Canada.
