Biography of George Wyburn

George McCreath Wyburn (1903-1985) was a graduate of the University and Regius Professor of Anatomy, 1948 to 1972.

Wyburn studied at the University and graduated MB, ChB in 1925. He joined the staff at the Anatomy Department in 1930 and became a senior lecturer in 1935. He took his DSc in 1938 and won the Struthers Medal in 1939, for embryological research, and again in 1947 (with Paul Bacsich) for work on the regeneration of injured peripheral nerves.
