Biography of Constance Helen Margaret Archibald
Constance Helen Margaret Archibald graduated MA from the University in 1905. She became a prominent economic historian, and translator or a numbers of works on economic history from French and German.
Archibald was born in Patna, Bihar, India, in 1878, daughter of Edward Douglas Archibald.
In 1912, she married Salvador de Madariaga, a Spanish engineer turned statesman and scholar, in Partick, Glasgow. They met in Paris, residing in several countries including Spain, Switzerland and England.
