Biography of Muffy Calder

Muffy Calder became the Vice Principal and Head of the College of Science and Engineering in 2014. She is Professor of Formal Methods in the Department of Computing Science and Research Dean in the College of Science and Engineering. Calder received the award of an OBE in 2011.

Professor Calder joined the University in 1988 and was Head of the Department of Computing Science from 2003 to 2007. Calder's research is in modelling and reasoning about the behaviour of complex software and biochemical systems using mathematics and automated reasoning tools.
