Frances Mair
Biography of Frances Mair
Frances Susanne Mair was appointed Professor of Primary Care Research in 2005 and is based in the Section of General Practice and Primary Care.
Mair gained her medical degree from the University in 1985. After completing vocational training in general practice in Glasgow, she worked as a general practitioner for the US Navy within the US Embassy in London for four years. In 1993, she entered academic general practice at the University of Liverpool.
In 2003, Mair was appointed Professor of Primary Care Research at the University of Liverpool and Director of the Mersey Primary Care Research and Development Consortium. She graduated MD from the University of Liverpool in 2003 and is a Visiting Professor there.
In 2017, Professor Mair was appointed to the Norrie-Miller Chair of General Practice.
