Addison 1727-1897 reads: Minister of Greyfriars, Aberdeen, and Professor of Moral Philosophy in King's College; afterwards Minister of Tron Church, Glasgow; latterly Principal of Marischal College and University, Aberdeen, and Professor of Church History therein; attended to the scaffold James Wilson, who was executed at Glasgow for High Treason (in connection with Reform movement), 30th August, 1820; died 28th May, 1867, aged 80.
