James Deane
Biography of James Deane
James Deane graduated MD 1854 and MA 1855 from the University of Glasgow.
He was the eldest son of John Deane, a jurisconsult at New Providence, The Bahamas.
Deane also qualified MRCS (Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons) and LSA (Licence of the Society of Apothecaries) in England, where he became a medical practitioner at Chatteris, Cambridge and later St Ives. He died there on 10 February 1876, aged 63.
