William Robert Ravie
Biography of William Robert Ravie
Private William Robert Ravie of 2/31 Battalion, Australian Infantry, was born in Glasgow and studied in the Arts Faculty at the University, 1929 to 1933.
Ravie's parents lived in New South Wales, Australia and Ravi served in that nation's army during the war. He was killed in Papua New Guinea on 15th September 1943. Ravie was a graduate of the University of Oxford, and his name is engraved on the East Wall, Chapel Passage, at Balliol College.
