Biography of Donald MacIver
Able Seaman Donald MacIver was born in Stornaway and studied for an Arts degree at the University, 1935 to 1938. He left the University without graduating and joined the Royal Navy.
MacIver was killed on 2 October 1942 when his ship was in collision with RMS Queen Mary and Curacao sank with the loss of 338 lives.
