Biography of Ian Turner MacFarlane

Sub-Lieutenant Ian Turner MacFarlane was born in Coatbridge and matriculated to study in the Arts Faculty at the University in 1941. He left to join the Royal Navy the following year.

MacFarlane was killed on 7 April 1945 when his motor torpedo boat, HMMTB 494, was sunk in action.
