George MacFeat Wishart

George MacFeat Wishart (1895-1958) was an eminent physiologist who was appointed Grieve Lecturer in Physiological Chemistry at the University in 1921. In 1934 he became Senior Lecturer in Physiological Chemistry and the following year succeeded Andrew Hunter as the Gardiner Professor of Physiological Chemistry. He retired from the chair in 1947 to become Director of Postgraduate Medical Education and Professor of Applied Physiology.
