Biography of Robina Lockhart Countess of Forfar
Robina Lockhart (1662-1741), Countess of Forfar, founded the Forfar Bursaries in 1737.
Robina was a grand-neice of Oliver Cromwell and the wife of Archibald Lockhart (d1712) 1st Earl of Forfar. The family lived at Bothwell Castle until 1700, when they moved to a new mansion, Bothwell House.
