List of Awards

The Robert and Agnes Fleck Scholarship was founded in 1968 by the bequest of the University alumnus Alexander Fleck, Baron Fleck of Saltcoats (1889-1968) in memory of his parents. It is intended to assist or enable a graduate of a Scottish university (preferably of the University of Glasgow) to travel abroad to study social conditions in other countries and apply that knowledge to the benefit of Scotland. The applicant will normally have studied Sociology to honours level at a Scottish university, and must submit a research plan and an estimated travel budget to the Professor of Sociology.
