Sandford Scholarship
Description
The Sandford Scholarship was founded in 1862 to commemorate Sir Daniel Keyte Sandford (1798-1838), Professor of Greek at the University from 1821 to 1838. It is awarded annually to students in the Junior Honours class in Greek, or, occasionally, Classics, who are deemed by the Head of Department to be of sufficient distinction.
