Sir Henry Jones Memorial Prize

The Sir Henry Jones Memorial Prize was founded in 1934 by subscription in memory of Sir Henry Jones, Professor of Moral Philosophy from 1894 to 1922. It is awarded annually in October after examination on a course of summer reading in Moral and Political Philosophy prescribed by the Professor of Moral Philosophy. Candidates must be matriculated students in the Faculty of Arts who have attended the Ordinary class of Moral Philosophy, but have not at the date of the examination attended any Higher class either in Moral Philosophy or in Politics. Candidates should consult the Professor of Moral Philosophy for particulars of the prescribed reading.
