Margaret Graham's Bursary
Description
Margaret Graham, widow of John Boyd of Kirkdyke in Kilmarnock, left 2,500 marks to the College. In 1641 her executors decided that the interest from 1,500 marks was to be used to buy books for the College Library, and that from the other 1,000 marks was to be paid as a bursary to a student for collecting and writing down examples of God's Providence in Scotland.
