Biography of Andrew Stewart of Castlemilk and Torrance

Andrew Stewart of Castlemilk and Torrance (d 1803) was Rector of the University from 1777 to 1779.

Stewart was the son of James Stewart, who acquired the Torrance estate, and inherited the Castlemilk estate from his uncle, Sir John Stewart. He was a well-known genealogist.
