Biography of Mungo Graham of Gorthlie

Mungo Graham of Gorthie (c 1672-1754) was Rector of the University from 1718 to 1720.

In 1717 Sir John Maxwell of Pollok nominated Mungo Graham as his Vice-Rector. Graham was elected Rector the following year in controversial circumstances, as the students continued to be excluded from rectorial elections.
