James Hiddleston

Biography of James Hiddleston

Lieutenant James Hiddleston was born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and studied at the University, graduating BSc in 1940. He joined the Royal Navy and served aboard the cruiser HMS Curacao.

Hiddleston was killed on 2 October 1942 when his ship was in collision with RMS Queen Mary and Curacao sank with the loss of 338 lives.
