Robert MacFarlane Clugston

Biography of Robert MacFarlane Clugston

Lieutenant Robert MacFarlane Clugston was born in Uddingston. He studied at the University and graduated MA in 1936 and LLB in 1939, before joining the Royal Navy and serving aboard the destroyer HMS Inglefield.

Clugston died on 25 February 1944 when his ship was sunk by a German radio-controlled glider bomb off the Anzio beachhead in Italy.
